General Pilgrimage Information
- Shikoku Henro Trail - Pretty much my go-to website for all things henro, including information on preparing for the trail, what to bring, how to get there, lodging information, and temple information. Also has lots of background on the pilgrimage, such as its history and important people related to the pilgrimage. Also has an informative, though not very active, forum.
- J-Pilgrim - A new website with tons of information, as well as an interactive map.

- A Pilgrimage Trail to 88 Temples by the Shikoku District Transport Bureau
Blogs of Past Henro
- Walking My Life - The first henro blog I read in its entirety of a henro's journey in 2011. It's very well-written, introspective, and detailed and continued to fuel my desire to walk the pilgrimage.
- 88 Again - The above henro's second completion of the pilgrimage in 2015. It contains even more detail and useful information, though probably out of date by now.
- 88 Again - The above henro's second completion of the pilgrimage in 2015. It contains even more detail and useful information, though probably out of date by now.
- The Cup and the Road - A general blog about food and travel, but contains the journey of a Chinese-Canadian henro named Athena. She completed the pilgrimage in the hot summer of 2015. She, too, wrote a lot about her doubts, her difficulties, and was similarly injured part of the way through her pilgrimage. I took a huge amoung of inspiration from her and also learned a lot (such as "ichi-go, ichi-e"). Her blog also contains loads of useful information, including a translation of the free lodgings list that is circulated in Japanese.
- Following the Arrows - Another travel blogger who completed the pilgrimage in autumn of 2013. Entries are a bit short sometimes, but it still contains lots of great information for future henro.
- Adventures of an Artist - Again, a general blog, but contains the henro blog entries of Tali Landsman, who completed the pilgrimage with her partner in 2016. Her detailed day-to-day accounts and introspection were very useful to me and I frequently read her blog entries while on the road myself.
